Ever wonder what the Mills do on an ice day?

The dogs wondering when we were going to leave for the day
Jackson said he needed all these tools because he was a scientist
Jackson enjoying his cookies-notice the doggies are looking for crumbs
Here's a pic of the cookies-I gave everyone an option of fruit, but no takers today
This is my idea of playing with play dough
This is the yummy chicken and rice soup that started out as chicken and dumplings
My first batch of homemade biscuits

I woke up at 5am this morning hoping for an ice day.  At 5:20 am, no call!  I took my shower, brushed my teeth and was just getting ready to put on my make-up, when the phone rang-NO SCHOOL!!  I was so relieved.  Just as I was ready to crawl back in bed, Jackson woke up and was wide awake.  He had had his infusion on Monday night and went to bed at about 5 that evening.  He was a live wire!!  I let Daddy sleep in and I decided to make biscuits from scratch.  They were yummy :)  What else was there to do on an ice day?  I made homemade chicken and rice soup (I tried for chicken and made from scratch dumplings, but they just turned the soup creamy!  It was still yummy!), we watched the news, made and played with play dough, baked cookies and played Candy Land and Shoots and Ladders.  Wow-it was fun.  In the middle of all this, I read, took a nap and a bath.  Don played helicopters with Jackson, took a nap and worked.  It's amazing how much you can do when your day starts at 5am and you are stuck indoors.  Hope the rest of you enjoyed your day as much as we did!
