Denton Civic Pool

Denton Civic Pool Review

Today we visited the Denton Civic Pool.  It was a lot of fun.  We give it two thumbs up!  Jackson got a new mask and some little friends (check the pics).  Jackson had a great time swimming with his face under water-this is his first time!!  He took to it like a fish under water.  We had a great time and are now planning on buying passes.  Lily Bean is going to come over soon and try out her water skills.

WE'RE GOIN' TO DISNEY WORLD

It's now time to start counting down the days until our first Disney trip. This trip is supposed to be mommy and daddy's 10th anniversary trip, but it has turned into a trip all about Jackson. He picked our hotel- The All Star Movie Resort. We will be staying in Disney for 7 days and we are going to try and visit all the parks. We are currently planning our itinerary for rides and food- yummy! We are so excited and can't wait to share our pictures!

ABOUT JACKSON'S DISORDER

When Jackson was about 6 months old, and after months of reoccuring and chronic infections, we found out that he had CVID.
"Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) is a disorder that involves the following: (1) low levels of most or all of the immunoglobulin (Ig) classes, (2) a lack of B lymphocytes or plasma cells that are capable of producing antibodies, and (3) frequent bacterial infections."
Check out the link for more information on these disorders.

Jackson's disorder affects his upper respitory and sinuses, thus, chronic sinus infections, colds and asthma. He has had multiple surgeries and PIC Lines to deal with his illnesses. He has been receiving IGIV infusions once a months since he was 2 years old. It takes 4-5 hours and it's not fun, but it has to be done. Having said all this, you would never know Jackson is sick. He runs around like crazy (I don't know where he got that from!) and is a happy little boy!

A LIITLE INFO ON JACKSON

This is our first post on Blogger! We wanted to share the wonderful stories of our son, Jackson Mills. He just turned 5 in March, but it seems like only yesterday that we held him in our arms for the first time. He will be going to Kindergarten this coming school year. Where has all the time gone?
Here are some pictures from Memory Lane:
